im also thinking about going with this lift for my new 2011 JK. The only thing Im confused about is whether to get the kit with the teraflex 9550 shocks or just use the stock jk shocks...anyone have any advice?

I have the Teraflex 2.5 Suspension System (fully teraflex shocks and coils) and I love it, the new ride feels better than the old to me. I am not sure about the precise differences in handling, all I know is its stiff and feels damn solid. I now have 35's on also and it feels amazing.

Just a quick point about the shocks and those adaptors. When I was installing my coil lift I was just going to run those adaptors until I figured out what shocks I wanted. If any. Nut on stock shocks was rusted solid and I ended up shearing off threaded part of shock trying to remove, made adaptor useless as nothing left to screw onto. Had to order a set of shocks right away. Northridge sent them right out and at a great price. I have a 2007 and was about 2 yrs old when I installed lift

I ended up going with the kit that comes with the shocks...its just made more sense. Rather then having adapters, just get the longer shocks. I hope the ride is decent with them.

Can you wheel with the shock extensions? Or are these only good for the fire roads and DD's?

Thanks!
You can wheel with the extensions just as much as with new shocks. Just be careful when removing the nut from the top of the front shocks when removing them. Use plenty of liquid wrench and take you're time or you could twist the stud off. I had that happen so I welded the extension onto the shock. Ran like that for a year with a lot of wheeling and no issues.

Default 2.5 lift

Im getting the ok from Mrs Claus to get this same lift except definitely with the shocks and coils.... Do they still offer the coils for the 4 dr I am installing on my 2 dr. Also what else is needed for this install if you get the coils and shocks. maybe trim the trans skid plate I have the 2dr auto. But is there any other parts I should get at the same time??? as the price would probably be cheaper to get in a complete package I need to call Dave From NORTHRIDGE but dont have his #...This is my DD and im not too much of a rock crawler but definitely a MUDDER on the weekends..

Too bad their website doesn't list it...

Yes, they have both. You can install either set on your 2door.

Also what else is needed for this install if you get the coils and shocks.
If you are going with the 4door coils, you will end up a lot higher. (expect 3.5" or so, depending on how much extra weight you are running). Think about caster correction, front axle re-centering, new driveshafts, arms for the driveshafts if/when they go south. Flex and check the brake lines after the lift to make sure the brackets are good enough. Flex and check the front driveshaft clearance - if it is anywhere close to the skid or tranny, perform some preventative maintenance to help it last a bit longer.

I got a great price and service on my TF kit w/ extensions from ORW. If you have a Rubi, there is no need to buy new shocks...
