Terra Grapplers?
Ok i have been researching tires and rims for a while now. Wilbur needs a new pair of shoes! Stock steelies aren't very "renegadish" I have decided that going with a 16" rim is ALOT cheaper to get a 33" tire on.
I found these American Eagle Alloys on ebay for like $450 16x8, 4" backspace
I love the looks of the BFG A/T KO's but they cost $50-$75 more per tire.
I think the best solution for price and size is the Terra Grapplers
295/75 R16
My question is will this combo fit on a Stock JK with no lift?

I personaly would not run it without a lift but i offroad too much and they would make contact with the body too much for me
they will fit. 265/75/16 fit alot better

That's the wheels I have on mine, and I've got 265/75R16's....and when fully flexed the rear ALMOST touches the inside of the wheelwell (within 1/2"). I'm not sure even a 285/75R16 would fit without rubbing on these wheels with no lift....265 seems to be the max for me.

That would be correct...no lift. They ride good, look good, and they're about as big as I can go without rubbing....so I'm happy. I got mine from the dealer when I bought my JK (tires, wheels, and sidesteps), it's all financed in with the vehicle so that's another plus.

Do you know how much those uniroyals were? I see there are alot more options for this size too. Not sure the Nitto's would do well with such a narrow width. Any imput guys?

Dont' know for sure, but I've seen em for around $120 a tire....so for all 5 I'm guessing about $600 plus mounting and balancing probably. It was $2295 for the 5 wheels, 5 tires, and the sidesteps that I financed in the deal...last time I figured it, I figured that I paid about an extra $400-$500 for the convenience of financing.
American Eagle 186 wheels 16x8---- about $110 each plus shipping
Uniroyal Laredo AWT 265/75R16 tires---- about $120 each plus mounting/balancing
Sidesteps---- about $300
Total: approx. $1500-$1700 with shipping/mounting etc.

Funny today a truck comes in and it has 265 75 r16 toyo tires on it. I parked it next to the jeep for comparison and It looks great. Alot beefier than the stockers Guess i know what Wilbur is getting for Christmas
