Default TerraFlex 4''

Hi

I just instaled a Terra 4'' this past week-end on my 2007 unlimited. The kit I bought was ''I dont know anymore'' available with or without the arms, you had the option. Anyways, I got the Rubicon alligned yesterday. Everything is OK. But the caster is rong. The truck does dead woobling. My specialist is telling me I need 4 more degrees on my spindles to fix the woobling problem I have now! What are the options without spending between $500.00 to a $1000.00 for arms???

I did a big lift like this with no arms. My caster went from 4.5 to 2.2. You need to get a set of front lower control arms. I like the Teraflex adjustable because they are TUFF and use a johnny joint instead of a normal joint. Set the caster to 5-6 degrees, the more caster the better it will drive, but the pinion angle gets to be a little much. I settled on 5.5 degrees.

Add as set of front lowers and go for about 3-4 degrees of caster. I have a 4" LA and have run 2.9-3.4 degrees of caster on it.

Cam bolts wont hold correctly, and you would have to cut notches in the mount for the axle, bad idea. Get arms, they are easy to install. Then you can set your own caster with an angle finder. Look up "do it your self alignment". I did mine, then got it alignd and I was spot on.

Read the FAQ on the Death Wobble. Not sure its your caster. I run a 4.5" lift with no adjustable control arms. I've been doing this for a month now, until I can order my Rock Krawler CA set. I have an after market track bar for this size of lift and a good alignment and tire (35" tires) balance. My Jeep (even with the short 2dr wheelbase) will track straight and smooth at any speed even though Im only running 2 degrees of caster.

Default TerraFlex or Rubicon Express ?

I know last year, some people had problems with RE control arm bushing. I wonder if this problem was solved? Their front lower are $100.00 cheaper than TF.

I would go TeraFlex or Currie control arms. Both are strong but the Currie's have Johnny Joints on both ends as to where the TeraFlex has Johnny Joints on only one end. Either way, you will be set for good. Just get the TeraFlex ones, that way if you have problems Joe i.e. Teraflex will help you out.
