Terraflex Disconnect Installation Question
Just a quick question before I install the disconnects on my 2011 JK. The lower connecting point, the one that you actually do disconnect from the pin, it appears that it's a rubber grommet to pin connection, correct? Won't this tend to wear out with movement, over time?
I've looked that the installation guide on the Project-JK site. In one photo they show it disconnected and in the storage position. It appears that it has the metal spacer still installed in it. On my kit, this won't work, as the pin is the same size as the hole in the grommet, only after the spacer has been removed.
Thanks!

I have this one and went with a different style fastener at the disconnect point, I can get away without using the spacer for it. It's called a Lynch Pin and is better I find than a spacer and cotter or hair pin cotter style. The only rubber I can think of that's on mine is the rubber bushings in the center of the links themselves and I am pretty sure they mount either way, just don't over tighten the grease fittings and everything will work out. They do take a bit of work getting them back on once you are done wheeling for the day. I always find one side is easier than the other but you will get the hang of it.
