TF 2.5 BB, Rear sway bar issues
Hey, I've got the Teraflex BB installed on my 4 Door Rubi.
I am having trouble with the rear sway bar and clearance with my tires. The sway bar links are to close to the tire and would rub while offroading.
I thought I seen a post on here that had a fix for this issues on it, as I was of the belief that the 2008 JK's are having a bit of the same issue with the rear sway bar links and the TF BB.
Anyone have any suggestions.
Thanks.

It's been a while since I did mine but I am almost certian that I read this either on the write up on this site or on the TF instructions that you needed to put the links on the oppisite side from which they were originally mounted. did you get the longer links with your kit? This is how I did mine..
This was quoted from the write up section on this forum:
"If you purchased a kit that came equipped with new rear links, you may find it necessary to install them on the opposite side of the sway bar and axle mount especially if you are still running factory wheels with 6.25" of back spacing. Otherwise, the mounting bolt on the sway bar may come into contact with your wheel and/or tire sidewalls. Once installed, apply some grease to the zerk nipple using a grease gun."

I have the TF BB with he new rear links and they are installed on the inside of the swaybar, the bolts did rub the frame a little but there is no way they'll hit the rim. At least with the 17" rims, maybe the 16's or 18's have different offsets. I actually put some washers on to move them out some to try and keep the bolts from hitting the frame.
I also got the BDS trackbar bracket to recenter the axle. I suppose it's possible just one side is hitting (drivers) but mine didn't even before the BDS.

I suppose I could have flipped the bolt around so the nut was on the wheel side.
As best as I could figure, this is something that has changed with the '08 model year, as even the TeraFlex box had a warning sticker that said something to the extent of:
"If you are planning on using stock wheels you will need backspacers", again I am just paraphrasing that.
I ended up just purchasing 1.5" Spidertax backspacers and that fixed everything.

SON OF A BIT&^!!!! I wish I knew this before I bought the lift. I bought the lift this morning and I don't want to use wheel spacers (personal preference). Looks like i will be going back and returning the lift and wait a few months till I get some wheels that would work with the lift.
It appears that you have two options, run wheel spacers or purchase after-market wheels that have a more desirable backspacing. Since this was unexpected for me as well I opted for the wheel spacers as they were cheaper.
