TF 2.5" Install
I am new to posting, so there may be a better place for this but here it is. I bought a used TF lift from other Forum members and a new JKS front trackbar and finally had a Saturday available to install. TazzdogSoCal came down from Valley Center and we got started about 10:30 Saturday AM. The work was straightforward, the TF instructions were good. Finished about 3:30 Saturday afternoon. We did take a 1/2 hour break to do some 12oz curls.
Was a bit nervous during the test drive and sure enough had wobble. Parked it for teh night, took to the alignment shop Sunday AM. Moved the wobble speed from 40MPH to 50MPH, but it was still there. Measured the distance from the tires to the frame, everything was within tape measure resolution, so the trackbar adjustment was good. Crawled back under, retorqued everything, 70+MPH with no wobble. Still driving cautiously, wanting to make sure everything is tight, will retorque again this weekend.
Bottom line, installing a mild lift is not too bad, read the forums and ask questions to make sure you have an understanding of what to look for if you have wobble.

2.5" coils. I also did the sway bar links, put QD on the fronts, went with shock spacers so I could use a set of Rubi shocks. I also have a set of TF shocks that I could use but a number of folks told me that the Rubis are a nice shock.
So are the TFs. And, if the TFs don't require extensions and you plan to wheel, I'd go with those over Rubi take-offs and shock extensions. If you don't wheel, it really doesn't matter which shock you use--they are both reasonably comfortable (for a Jeep).
Have someone turn your steering wheel back and forth while you look at the jks trackbar. Alot of people had probs with the older version flexing in front causing a wobble. They've since come out with a better version. Just something you may want to check.

OK, 2 1/2 weeks of driving, chasing hardware, retorquing, steady improvement, but still experienced some serious wobble at 65=70MPH. I put the JK into a local shop that claimed to be experts in lifts and they said it was ball-joints. I only have 31K on th odometer, so was skeptical and would not pay them to replace anything until a local dealer looked at it. I bought this before the lifetime warranty, and have owned it more than 3-years, so it was going to be my nickel unless the Service Manager was generous. He said bring it in, he did not think it was ball-joints, but we would discuss that once the diagnostics had been completed.
Into the shop last Tuesday, diagnosis was steering stabilizer. Put on a ProComp and have been able to roll at 70+ with no wobble. THis weekend probably going to crawl under and put on the TF shocks. After that is it is time for tires. Hope to go to 285-75-16 in the next week or so. Still running the factory Goodyears, and they are shot, did not want to put money into tires until I was confident the suspension was tight.

While driving to LA last weekend experienced another bout of wobble. Kept it under 70MPH and got home without any further wobble. On Saturday I installed a Bilstein steering stabilizer to replace the ProComp that I had installed a few weeks ago. I also changed the front shocks from the red Rubicons with spacer to the TF shocks. I noticed that the top right front shock HW was probably not tight. In any case, big improvement, have probably run 500 miles since and everything feels much better. Interesting comment, when I put the JK into the shop (both a suspension specialist and a dealer) I told both of them that I felt the problem started with the right front. Neither of them found the HW I mentioned earlier in the post. When in doubt double check and triple check the HW. I think I spent an extra $200 on parts that may not have been needed because I missed some HW that may have been a bit loose.
Latest update:
Last weekend finally did the tires. I went with a set of 285-75R17 Falken High Country AT. The tire shop over inflated them, reduced the fronts to 28PSI, rears to 33PSI. They ride great on the HWY, have put about 500 miles on them in a little over a week. They are real quiet, have a reasonably aggressive look, will need to get some off road later in the summer or fall. It is a bit warm on the desert this time of year. I also crawled under this weekend and replaced the rear Rubicon shocks and spacer with the TF shocks. The ride is solid, will probably be selling the 3" TF coil set, the Rubicon shocks with spacers, and the ProComp stabilizer in the next few weeks.
