Question TF BB Questions

Hi,

Im going to get a TF BB for my JK, this isnt my first Jeep but its the first one I will be modifying I have a few questions.

This is a RHD Im pretty sure that wont make a difference?
I have read some things about people swapping the front and rear sway bar if I buy sway bar disconnects suitable for a 2.5 inch lift would it mean I wouldnt need to do this?
Is it best to buy a adjustable trackbar as well? I wouldnt want to have to buy one later shipping to Australia isnt cheap!
Since my JK is so new (2000km) Im thinking Ill get the adapters to use the stock shocks and when they are worn buy new full length ones is this the right thing to do or is the kit with the shocks worth the extra $$?

Thanks,

David

Hey daveaus,
Having a RHD JK won't make a difference and if you don't have a Rubicon and if you're planning to get discos, you don't need to swap any links or even install new rear ones. As far as needing a new track bar goes.... you know, I really have to tell you that it isn't really necessary with this lift. But, if you do decide to get one, just get one for up front as it will allow you to recenter the ever so slight shift that your axle will see after installin this lift. As far as the back goes, all you would need is a relocation bracket but again, I ran this lift and can tell you that it isn't needed. Regarding your shocks, if you have a Rubicon, just get the adapters but if you have a Sahara or X, you may want to consider picking up a set of monotube nitro shocks.

Thanks for your reply, I have the renegade model not sure if its the equivelent of the X or Sahara but its not the rubicon so you would recommend the kit with the shocks? Does it make much difference Im on a fairly tight budget. Are the shocks that come with the $365 TF BB at QT the nitro shocks?

Thanks

Well, back in the days of the TJ, a Renegade in your neck of the woods would have been a Sahara here in the US so I'm gonna guess that it's still the same now

If you're on a budget, just get the shock adapters as your ride will not be any different than what you have now. I just personally like the ride of the Rubicon shocks more as they are firmer. When you save enough cash, pick up a set of Old Man Emu's as they will be more affordable for you and IMHO, they make some of the best shocks around bar none

The X model is the basic model JK here in the U.S. No silver trim on the dash, no YES fabric seats, no 6 disc headunit, etc. But, a lot of these extra features can be ordered on it to make it close to a Sahara or Renegade for you
