Default TF Front Shock Adapter Nuts

Ok, obviously I'm on to the front of my lift, and it's going great. I'm to the point of bolting the shocks up and the stock nut that goes on top of the shock doesn't seem to have the same thread as the adapter. I didn't get any nuts with the adapters. Am I missing something?

I'll just sit inside and warm my rear end while I wait for an answer.

I called Teraflex and verified there shouldn't be nuts in the adapter kit. The idea was mentioned that maybe the galvanized coating was causing the threads to be a bit tight.

I tried again to thread the stock nut on the adapters, but after a thread they were so tight I couldn't tighten it any further using two wrenches. Not wanting to screw up the stock nuts, I went to Lowes with one of the adapters to find a matching nut. The closest I could find were M10x1.5, which when tried on the shock itself is a perfect match. Nothing else would thread onto the adapter. (to be clear, these wouldn't either)

Armed with spare nuts I tried cranking down on the adapter even harder with no luck. I got it on 2 to 3 threads tops. Not wanting to leave the jeep hanging on jack stands all weekend I went ahead and put it all back together sans shocks. It's not going to be driven so it isn't an issue.

I'm assuming by the lack of responses no one else has encountered this. I checked the parts list and box and all the numbers match up. I guess it's possible I just got a bum set of adapters.

Try running a die over the threads of the shock adapter to clean off the galvanized coating. Mine fit no problem
