Default TF Leveling kit and front end alignment?

I just purchased a Teraflex leveling kit. I was trying to be lazy and ask a couple of local shops how much it would be to install it for me. A couple of shops said I would need a front end alignment after it was put on. Has anyone put one on and not done the alignment. Any recommendations?

(I searched the threads and did not see this addressed anywhere)

Welcome to The forum. You do not need a front end alignment But you will have to realign your steering wheel And that's it very easy to do Goto the right up section Go to the lift install area and look up on the section where to straighten steering wheel.

Welcome and you do not need to do an alignment, just straighten out the steering wheel.

I searched the write ups, and installing a lift. I didnt see the thread that was spoke about earlier, but thanks for your replies. Going to tackle it this weekend. If it gets too complicated, I will "phone a friend" or tear this forum apart to find out exactly how. Thanks again.

I didn't have to do any alignment or anything after I was done. I Love the kit, but.........definitely search the forum for write-ups on the install before you start. You'll be glad you did. As easy as it is to do, the instructions are not very in depth or clear at times. The pictures are also less than desirable. Go to the teraflex website to view the original installation instructions and pictures. They have been copied one to many times. Other than that, enjoy getting rid of the factory rake.

You will do fine, like the others said, no alignment necessary and re-centering the steering is super easy. Make sure you have tall enough jack stands, it will make your life easier, oh and a big crowbar too.

How does a big crowbar/pry bar help you out? Sorry for a stupid question.

I just installed a TF 1.5" performance leveling kit in a friends Jeep last week. Super easy, just need some basic tools, a 3-3.5 ton floor jack and 6 ton jack stands. Look in the write up section on tips for the install or follow TF's instructions. The only thing you may need afterwards is just straightening your steering wheel...See below....
