Question TF SpeedBumps - What do they do?

Do they just replace the "stock kit" bumpstops that would come in a 2.5" coil suspension lift? What do they do?
Are they much better or something for $485 bucks?
Does it make the on-road / daily driver ride better?
Do other companies make something similar?

Thanks

an innovative composite bumpstop system designed for high-speed, high-performance JK Wrangler applications.
Absorbs large impact energy progressively during compression to prevent bent axle tubes.
The info and details seem fairly self explanatory

Hit a big bump at speed, these things soften the impact. Don't hit big bumps at speed, then it's an expensive bumpstop...

but i was confused as to whether this meant on-road or off-road. for me, given its a daily driver, i am willing to spend some extra bucks to get it feeling as close (or better!) to stock ride as possible. didnt know if this would do that or if it was for crazy people that do some high speed off-roading and was just a $500 waist of $$ for me if I do a 2.5" TF lift that will be used for half on-road / half off-road....

these wont really do anything for highway driving

the only time when on the road that these will actually be used is when you hit a large speedbump fast.

if there is any situation where you hit a bump so hard that the axle hits the frame than it will hit these first and it will be like hitting another spring instead, getting rid of the bang on impact

How is the road maintenance where you live? Lots of big, deep potholes? Do you like to drive through them at high speeds just because you can?

Those are more for the guys that like running high speed through the desert or jumping sand dunes. On-road, you aren't likely to get your bumpstops to hit. And low speed off-road, you'll get them to touch when flexed out, but no need for an expensive progressive damping system...

This is what i figured. i suspected it was for high speed "crashes" to try to help your axles win in an axle vs. rock battle or in a flying sand dune frenzy and therefore useless to me in light/medium offroad situations and totally useless to me on the highway. thanks!
