Is the TF track bar relocation bracket really needed on a 2.5 BB?
When I started with a 2.5 susp lift, my front axle did not need re aligning. If it drives straight, looks straight, probably all good. After lifting 3" susp, I had to add an adj track bar to re-aligne the axle almost a full .5". Pic is of TF rear tbar hd bracket, great for any lift to strengthen the weak stock bracket if your planning on flexxing. Also raises the rear track bar to give you a better roll center.

well then you're an exception. almost everybody, including myself with 2.5+ lift appreciated the ride much more when the axles were centered. if both axles are off center in the same direction, then i can see the jeep still driving straight, but i like all my geometry to be correct and on point. even when i went from the tf track bar bracket which was still off my 1/4 inch, to my adjustable track bar i was able to tell the difference on my daily commute of highway driving at 75-80mph. i noticed the most improvement when taking turns. but the bracket is good enough; better than nothing at all and it also helps beef up the track bar mount by connecting to the lca bolt for support. op- you be the judge, try it without the bracket, and if it drives like crap then get the bracket or new track bar.

For the life of me I could not figure out how to install this bracket. I spent 11 hrs (by myself) putting on the entire lift and this one step had me puzzled...
Maybe it was the 11 hrs kicking in. Either way, I just used a ratchet strap as WOL mentions in his write-up. Worked great and I don't notice any driveability issues whatsoever. If anyone has some pics on how to install this bracket I would appreciate it. The TF instructions were very vague. Thanks guys.

I knew a guy who didn't use it b/c he got an aftermarket diff cover and his OEM track bar didn't clear it with the TF drop bracket... He took the bracket out and then the rear track bar cleared fine. He was planning on getting an adjustable but it didn't cause him any problems so he just left it that way

I did replace my bolts with grade 8, but otherwise stock...
I have the TF 2.5" coil lift. I didn't use the bracket.
Now, 20k miles later I just today had the jeep aligned when I got new tires. I wanted to know three things. Whether my C's had bent (camber) where my caster was, and how far out of alignment my axles were from the lift.
The end result was the axles were so close to being in line that they wouldn't have even mentioned it if I hadn't asked. They certainly weren't far enough out to need any type of action.
If you're worried about it, don't put the bracket on and get the jeep aligned. You'll have the answer for YOUR jeep and will be able to sleep at night.
