Default TFX Pacesetter

Does anyone have this exhaust for the JK? Its seems reasonably priced and was wondering if anyone had some feedback. Thanks!

Pacesetter's quality is next to horrible. Typically on the lower end of the market.

I agree! I bought a header for my Tj and it was very poor quality.

No experience with that kit, but I have their headers on My Trans Am. It is not the prettiest thing in the world, but it works. The things that are ugly on my headers are the welds, but the bends all look good, and this is the most important thing. I come from a family of tube fabricators, so I see and produce over 100,000 welded and bent assemblies in a single year (mostly aircraft and defense). If you are looking for a cheap exhaust that will make a little more noise, this would not be a bad option. However, it is only aluminized steel, so don't expect it to last more than tens years (+/- 2-4 years depending on your environment). Honestly you are not going to notice too much of a power gain with these JKs, so if you are looking for noise, unbolt your current muffler and drive till your heart's content. I drove mine like this for a year until I built a set of headers and 3" exhaust all the way back.

Until one of the welds break and you have a nasty exhaust leak that sounds like ass.

I was speaking to the aesthetics of the welds. It was not that they were cold, hot, undercut, etc. They were just ugly looking mig welds. Just not the kind of stuff I am use to looking at. However, I knew what I was getting and what I was paying for. That being said, my headers flow very well, cost a third of what other headers were going for, and have lasted over 4 years and going strong in my TA.
