Default Thanks WayofLife!

I just wanted to say thanks for the great Tera 2.5 BB lift writeup!

Tera should take your write up and include it in their kits, the instructions Stink!

It took me about 7 hours by myself, of course it was 110 in the shade!

I've done 4 lifts in the past, and this was one of the most complete BB lifts I've installed!

Anyway I Love the extra lift the 2.5 BB gives me, I doubt I'll go any higher (for a few years anyway). 34 inch tires sound about right as well, and I can always upgrade the front springs to the 2.5 HD as well.

I had my laptop out in the garage with me, and anything that looked questionable, I could just pull up a close up picture of it.

Now I just need to be younger. At 42 my muscles ache way too much.

Yup, WayOfLife is underappreciated at this site and is a good kindhearted man. I wonder sometimes if everyone who uses this site really knows how much work and effort (and dedication/commitment) goes into keeping a site like this running. It is helpful to virtually every mod I do, and I would have broken many things without learning from other's mistakes.

Glad to know I'm not the only one who drags the laptop out to the garage!! And bite your tongue, 42 is not that old, I turned 44 last month and haven't yet begun to feel the strain yet.

I think part of my problem might be I'm a computer programmer for a living, and don't work out as much as I should.

I concur with the kudos for the writeup, i used the same one when i installed my RE lift as a reference, worked great for me and because the better half was following along and asking questions, i could refer her to the pictures and it helped me to explain what i was doing to her. I also used it as a checklist of sorts to doublecheck my work to make sure i didnt miss a torque or two when reassembling.

I agree. Thanks WOL.

After installing my Teraflex 4" lift, I had it aligned at a shop just to check everything out. I guess they missed or ignored that I wanted my caster set to +7 like WOL suggested. After fighting a slight squirrelly condition, I took it back and had them recheck the caster. It was set to 3.5. They argued that this was about where it should be and that 7 was way too much, and I would never notice a difference. I said, "Just humor me and set it as close to 7 as you can." They reluctantly set it to 6.8 and I couldn't be happier. It tracks straight and smooth as an arrow, just like WOL said it would.

Thanks everybody, I really do appreciate your flattering remarks but I really don't deserve them. In all honesty, I'm just really passionate about Jeeps, the all new JK and the Jeep way of life and I really enjoy helping out where I can and however I can just as I know you would. Yes, unlike www.4x4xplor.com, which I had run sponsor free for almost 10 years (and is still sponsor free), I do now have the help and financial support of sponsors on Project-JK.com, JK-Forum.com and MY.Project-JK.com but I hope you would believe me when I say that I would always offer my help to you sponsors or not. In fact, if there's ever anything you need, please don't hesitate to ask.

Sincerely,
Eddie
