Default Is there a crush washer for the differential drain plugs?

I have just under 16,000 miles and I was planning on changing my diff fluids next weekend.

I know you dont have to, but I plan on picking up the LSD additive for the rear axle from the dealership. Are there any crush washers on the differential plugs?

I was planning on using Mobil 1 synthetic, is this about what most people are using? I think it sells for $7.99 a quart at checker auto parts.

the drain plug is just a plug. no washers, sleeves, seals or anything. pull it, let the diff drain, then put it back in and refill

Also, wipe off the metal that is on the drain plug. And DO NOT remove the drain plug first! FIRST remove the fill plug, THEN then drain plug. Do it wrong one time in the wrong circumstances and you are going to wish you hadn't. Also, don't get the LSD additive. Mobil 1 already has that in it.

I clean off the gunk that builds up in the threads of the differential plugs, and apply teflon tape to the threads before putting the plug back. Just a little extra insurance against leaks.
