Is there a good wielder in So Cal?
I live in Whittier Ca. I need to find a good welder. I need some work done to the JK. Can someone tell me of a good shop here in Los Angeles or Orange County area?

wield (wld)
tr.v. wield·ed, wield·ing, wields
1. To handle (a weapon or tool, for example) with skill and ease.
2. To exercise (authority or influence, for example) effectively. See Synonyms at handle.

Not really sure how someone who can handle a weapon is going to help you with some work on your JK

First off, I want to answer the question: If you've ever flown, you've probably seen my dad's handiwork. In the 1950s he fabricated the first jet engine thrust reverser, which was the model for the Boeing 707 engine nacelles--the most successful aircraft in commercial aircraft history. My dad learned to weld in WW II as a Sea Bee serving in the Pacific Theater. When he is done running a bead, it's almost as if the item has been machined. Although he is now retired, he was, IMHO, the best weldor in the world. So, there is a good weldor in California (Chula Vista. to be exact).
Now, I didn't write the above because I want to brag about my dad (okay, maybe a little). I wrote it because I want to make a point without sounding like too much like just the grammar police. A welder, which the OP was trying to ask about, is a piece of hardware. Such a device is used to join pieces of metal together. A weldor is a person who wields (LOL) a welder. I happen to know this because back in the '60s my dad was one of the people who led the fight for the the weldor's labor union to get Rand-McNally and all to straighten out their dictionaries. They still haven't, BTW. Regardless, I think he did fine for a person with a fourth grade education.
