I run the 180 and I like it a lot for the summer. Jet used to have a part number but don't seem to any more. Just the same, you can get it at your local parts store as long as your dealing with someone who knows what time it is.

I do change my thermostat out for summer and winter so I don't have any issues with oil sludging nor warm up. As a rule of thumb, your fan on temperatures should be 20 degrees above your thermostat, and I did have some issues when I had it set lower with some CELs and DTCs. The code was an open fan relay, and as soon as I put the 180 back in after getting the SC Flashpaq, the issue went away. Should have known better.

I have taken some other under hood heat reduction measures such as black satin coating my headers which made a huge difference in how warm my feet were in the summer, but long for the TMD hood.

As for performance, not sure if it's there or even measurable. Of course it's hard to bust out just the performance differences when you get up over 200 degrees.

A lower temperature T-stat is not going to make your vehicle run cooler, it will just take more time for the engine to get up to the normal operating temperature.

Once my thermostat is open my temperature barely rises whether using a 180 or 195 thermostat. When things have greater cause to get heated up, when the fan comes on it's game over, be it at 200 degrees or 215. If I was in a situation where the coolant temperature was really going through the roof, I'd much rather start the cooling process 15 degrees earlier.
