My factory soft top is 4-5 years old. It's been exposed to scorching heat, drenched by downpours, pelted with freezing snow and ice, caked with road salt, folded over and over, and it is still like new. In fact, it never gets garaged and I don't exactly take very good care of it. If that's considered a cheap top, then so be it....it's impressive.

I think that the OE tops are pretty good quality. But no soft top last's forever.

The OE top isn't cheep either. Well not cheep to me. I still can't afford one.

Are they worth the cost in your opinion? Any other tops that are "better than stock"? Or do you thinks its better if I just go with the original plan of a hardtop. My jeep is not a daily driver, and is garage kept if that helps. Thanks
When Bestop first introduced the Twill material to us, we noticed right away that the twill material was well made and thicker than OEM. Everyone that has bought one from us has had only good things to say about them. The sailcloth material soft tops are also better than stock. Comparing a hardtop to a soft top though is like comparing oranges to apples. Good luck your JKU

Thank you, let me know about the thermal and noise properties of the material. As I said earlier I dont care about the security properties of the top. If somebody wants something bad enough they will take it, but they would have to want it really bad to tell my 4 pit bulls in the back to move (soft or hard top). Im stuck between the wild boar fastback hardtop and the twill trektop now. Hope you enjoy the new top.

I don't see that Bestop is making Trektop in Twill for now.

I usually ride around with my soft top on when I'm doorless. I'm not worried about someone cutting my windows. HA HA

All you wonderful people talk quieter driving with hardtop. I disagree. My hardtop rattles and is so annoying. Can't wait to put softie on for quiet.

All bolts tight. Just creaks. Squeaks. Rattles over every bump.
