Default Thinking about going with bfg krawlers

So im thinking about going from bfg mt's in a 35 to 37 inch krawlers for my next tires. Does anybody have any reasons why? I've heard there are different compounds but cant find any info on the internet about them. How many miles am i looking at with each tire?

Are they that much worse than mt's on the street?

i barely drive mine on the road, so i cant tell you yet about the wear.
they are just not made for the street. i just wanted strength and good traction
in the rocks
i wouldve got tsl sx but they are bias and i HATE flat spots...
i am going to assume the 35s on my relativley light 2dr will last me a long time.
but a long time is not relative to a daily driver
i have 35 mtrs on my dd a crewcab diesel gmc
i rotate them a lot and will get 25k out of them
i just sold the 35 bfg mtkm s off my jeep
they are just not made for the ledge we have around here, they had 2000 miles on them and they looked terrible.
very weal sidewall on the shoulder too something to look at when you look at a tire
the sidewall by the rim was thick as hell, the tread was ok, but where they met it was very thin and very weak, i had 3 plugs in 3 tires on that location, and youre not supposed to plug a tire there. needless to say im not a km fan at all

Yes.

I had them on my TJ. Even the blue labels don't belong on a DD. I had good luck with IROK radials on the road and off...

Just get the new MT's (KM2's I think). The tread pattern is very similar to the Krawlers with a few changes to make them more DD friendly. I've put 10k miles on mine with minimal tread wear. And wheeled them in the rocks and snow with very good results. I daily commute on them about 60 miles each day.

Two thumbs up.
