Question Thinking about a Ripp Supercharger

Hey y'all,
I'm thinking of getting the Ripp supercharger with my tax refund check, and I was wondering how those of you that have one like it? Anything in particular one should know about installing/running one. How does it run, is a noticeable improvement on the low end? How's the fuel economy? I have less than 4 months of warranty left on the engine, so I'm not to worried about voiding that.

Thanks!

I would like to have it for the MPG increase... but if I spent that amount for power, I would save a little more and go hemi.

I would highly recommend driving one before you buy it. Vehicle weight makes a huge differance so try to find someone with a similar build.

the ripp is like 5k isn't it? I think AEV is $5300 and used hemi/tranny combos can be had 2-3k. I know 8k is alot, but the dif between 8k and 5k isn't that bad. I dunno. The HP and torque gains from the Hemi are pretty impressive.

Yes, but the HEMI weighs a loooot. The supercharger is a better buy if we are talking horsies/torque per $$$. Then you add in the extra weight of the HEMI and it seems almost foolish to buy one I dunno, just my 2 cents worth...

The thing I think is really neat about the RIPP is it increases MPG. It does it by a lot if you believe the numbers on their site. It is also a really good looking kit. If it was closer to 2k I would do one.

Thanks for the replies y'all, I thought about getting a Hemi for the Jeep but its more work that I want to undertake now plus to my knowledge there is not manual available atm , and if I swapped the motor I would like to get a diesel from Europe with a manual.

Glad to see the folks that have them like it and have good things to say about it. Y'all sold me on it; as soon as I get my check from Uncle Sam I'm ordering one.

Keep us posted, and take lots of pictures.
I'm very curious about the kit and installation.

The Ripp Supercharger is on sale from Ripp for like $3795 I think......

I will be supercharging my rigg one day, but I have lots to do first!

Research other superchargers as well... a friend of mine said that there are lots of them to be had for less money that are just as capable... and even more in some instances.

Good LUck, keep us posted!

Hemi Swaps usually cost around 11-$12,000 when its all said at done. Provided you can do ALL of the work yourself.

Our Supercharger is now on sale for 4799.95 over 130 sold since July. The installation takes the average guy 6-8 hours. On a 6speed JK we gained 115 hp to the ground!
