Thinking of regearing...
Why would it shift out of OD? If it's climbing it'll shift up, but it doesn't stay revved when it doesn't need to. Without doing something the stupid thing'll shift all over the place all the time with the 33's. Flatlanders have no idea what 6000 feet will do to a JK with 33's and an auto.
Well, I just got home. First trip up the mountain since mods. On the Interstate it seemed to shift and drive like it pretty much did when it was stock. I could tell that the shift points were off a little bit. Going up the mountain was a little different. Starting up the mountain I did what I usually do, turn the OD off. It cruised up the mountain pretty good to about 5000 feet, a little sluggish, but not as bad as I thought it would be. It stayed in 3rd gear all the way to that point. Then I got to the steeper and more winding part of the mountain. There it started losing power in 3rd and I would have to put my foot in it a little for it to shift in to 2nd. I guess if the shift points were reset it would have shifted a little sooner and I wouldn't have to put my foot in it. I'm sure after the shift points and speedo are reset it'll be a little better, but not as good as I want it to be.
So, after the drive home I've decided to just go with the ProCal instead of the Superchips to reset tire size, speedo, shift points and the TPMS. Then I'll just go ahead and regear in the near future. I'll probably go with 4:88's. I just need to find a good shop in my area to do the work. Thanks for all the advice everyone.
