Default Teraflex 3rd light

TF has a decent solution. It should still work with your carrier but it will not be on the swing out, rather still on the jk tailgate. That's probably how I am going to go once I get my rear bumpr

If you are using the stock wheels or ones that have wide enough openings in the wheel there are a couple solutions that go behind the spare rim.

One the simplest is a $10 LED light on the rear glass.

If you run a SEARCH you will find endless solutions.

I have searched, and have seen the ones from different vendors...really leaning towards an LED behind the rim...was just looking for finished product pics...etc...

I bought the 3rd light kit from AEV (CHMSL). It comes with a great bracket that bolts in behind the wheel (using the studs that hold the wheel to the tire carrier).

That is it's strong point, the weak point is the actual light. Three little (fairly dim) LED's make up the light. I went to a Auto Zone and picked up an aux. brake/tail light. Here's the pick of the lights (small one is the AEV).

I just cut the original off the stock carrier and bent a bracket to hold it. Here are some pictures:

Move you license plate to the spare like I did using a Rock Hard 4x4 relocation bracket then you can use a ORO Plate Lite. It has an LED 3rd brakelight plus a LED (looks like HID) license plate light. All for around $80 through 4wd.com, 4WheelParts, Quadratec or Northridge.

Install thread including wiring codes...https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/jk-write-ups-39/rock-hard-license-plate-relocation-bracket-oro-led-platelite-install-xrc-bumper-90672/

Running light only....

Just the plate light illuminated...

The LED brake light plus the plate light....

Brake light only....

Everything illuminated....

And some daylight shots...
