Default Third brake light options

I just installed 35's and now my third brake light is almost completely covered.

Anyone have any feedback on the Delta Waterproof Lug Nut Light? I'm more concerned with the install than anything else. I don't have any experience with wiring in a vehicle.

Thanks.

As far as wiring goes, it's going to be as simple as you can get. Each lamp is going to have a positive and negative, and you have a positive and negative from the tailgate. A simple "Y" splice in a pair of butt connectors and you're done.

It's a Federal law, you need something back there.

...pretty sure that it varies state-to-state. Not required in Texas, I can give you Transportation Code references if you want 'em.

Actually, it's a Federal law that new cars be sold with them. Past that it's up to individual state laws as to whether they're required.

Default Third Brake Light

Anybody know if a third brake light is required in Arizona, if originally equipped.
I put a bumper/wheel carrier on my 09 Rubicon, and left the 3rd brake light off.

I got a ticket for no front license plate, lamest ticket of my life. A cop went around the entire neighborhood to every car parked on the street and if you didnt have one, well, there was a nice little piece of paper on the front windshield waiting for you. Bah Humbug
