Default For those with wheel spacers

Hey guys, just put in an order today for 285/70r17 tires to go on my stock 17" wheels. I'd like my tires to come out past my fenders a little rather than sit under them. I like the look of a little wider stance.

I need to buy wheel spacers so I don't get any rubbing. Will the tires come out past the fenders with 1.5" spacers? Or do I need to go as much as 1.75"?

I am having trouble finding pics so I can decide which to go with.

Thanks

The 1.5's should be plenty, that'll give you about 4.5" backspacing.

Perfect, 1.5" looks like it will be perfect. Thanks for taking the time to post up pics... just made my decision easier.

NWranglerS- this is important for your spacer install. Remove and discard the lock washers on the rotor studs. These washers must be removed for spacers or aftermarket wheels. The washers were used in manufacture to hold things together while assembling. If you do not remove the washers, the spacer or wheel will not sit flush to the rotor. Things won't torque down and the wheel or spacer may fail in a bad way.

Torque, use LocTite, take it for a spin, re-check torque minus a few pounds so you don't break the 'glue.' if you buy quality spacers, they should last. I ran Spidertrax for few years and 90,000 or so miles. Good luck.

I have that exact same set up. I was nervous about how the Spidertrax 1.5" spacers would make my JK look after installing them but as soon as I saw the result, I was happy. Very good choice.
