thoughts about air shocks.
what are yalls thoughts on a suspension set up like this? its got fox air shocks with no springs and its triangulated 4 link. it belongs to a friend of mine, and he swears it drives great on the road its on full width d60's and 44's so obviously its a different animal than my jeep on stock axles and 37's, but he keeps telling me that when we stretch my jeep to just use air shocks like his. any one run a setup similar? is it something that you could daily drive comfortably? sorry couldn't get pic to upload but will load it from my phone in a couple minutes

I know alot of guys running air shocks, just not on a heavy ass jk. I think a few have done it on jks, but i dont know what airshocks will be ok on the jk weight. On other rigs yes they can be done and drive fine, but personally coilovers make alot more sense. May cost a tad more but way better in many ways.. Air shocks are a cheap option that works like a hydrualic bump so to speak. The psi affects height and ride in a way. If your running air shocks id get a nitrogen tank and gauge to get it dialed in, wich after you factor that in may not make them much cheaper than coilovers. Also air imo is not as stable off camber.

I have run them on a light buggy, but I agree that a Jk is too heavy. You will overload them, and even if you got them to work, you'd have to run so much pressure that they would have a bad tendency to unload.
