Default Thoughts on Zone Offroad 3" Kit

Before we start I have used the search function! lol

It doesn't look like there are too many recent threads / comments / reviews regarding the Zone Offroad 3" lifts. I was curious if anyone is currently running the setup and what your thoughts are. Thanks ahead of time.

Dont do it! Lol kidding
Ok let me expand. Its a great way to start. I got mine about 1.5 years ago. The thing works great, BUT you will get some spring sag over time(sit less than 3 inches). Especially if youve got big steel bumpers. Skid plates and a winch. The ride isnt bad...but it isnt great either. Shocks leave something to be desired. They dont like washboard.
Out of the 10 or so guys in the local club that have the zone/bds lifts they are all sagging. And most of us are on the way to a new system. So learn from my mistake. If you know what you want out of your jeep, save money and get something better. If you just want to wheel occasionally(twice a year) and put on some bigger tires. Its better than a body lift for that. Just rememeber, You get what you pay for in lifts.

Id suggest the aev 2.5 it sits over 3 and comes with some geometry correction that the zone does not.

Thats my 2 pennies

Edit: one big thing we found was the passenger rear shock can impact the drop bracket that come with the kit. I upped my rear bumpstops from the kits 2 inch to a 3 inch to stop it from getting worse. And I added a 1 inch spring spacer to help with the sag till the new kit arrives.

I dont always drive where others cant. but when I do, its in my Jeep. Stay muddy my friends

I didn't realize the TF came with geometry correction brackets? (Referring to the 2.5 coil kit) I'm looking / leaning this way I think.
