Default Is a throttle body spacer even worth it?

I have been told that a throttle body spacer is pointless.

Will it help me out or not?

What are your thoughts?

In a word: worthless.

The idea comes from the hi-rise manifolds used on V-8 muscle cars with carbs. On a modern fuel injection engine, the spacer does nothing of value.

They make the incoming air more turbulent which makes your mpg's worse. I know I drank that coolaid and bought one. That $85 I wish I still had.

Turbulence actually increases MPG and power but the addition of just a spacer wont yield any gains. If u couple it with things that increase airflow and fuel then you would see more. Now I think what you was getting at with the turbulent air is when u add restrictions like bends in the intake or extend it. That causes a loss. Actual controlled turbulence at the moment of the addition of fuel cause a better air fuel mixture and makes it burn cleaner and hotter
