Tie rods
My stock tie rods on my 2012 JKU seem shot already with only 10k miles on jeep. This due to lift or major pot holes here in RI? Any recommendations for heavy duty aftermarket replacements? I'm guessing warranty won't cover due to lift kit and tires.
You said tie RODS, there is just one tie rod. Is it the ends that are breaking?
Correct that it won't be covered under warranty if you lifted.
I replaced mine with Synergy tie rod. Not because it wore out though, because I bent it wheeling. Highly recommend Synergy. That thing is bullet proof!

It's just the ends, not the rod itself. Will synergy fit stock rod or did you upgrade rod as well?
Not sure what mechanic was saying in detail about them but said they needed replacing.

Check out this tie rod. This is what is on my JK and I have put it through its fair share of abuse!
Another good tie rod is the Rock Krawler Tie Rod.
Hope this helps.

Yeah, if you wheel it in rocks, you will very soon bend your stock tie rod, even if you think you are going to be careful. I was trying to be careful here too, when I tried to climb up:

But tires spun and I slipped onto a rock:

And then I bashed it a few more times trying to go up unsuccessfully. The tie rod is still straight:
Moog 1 ton tie rod ends I believe work with stock tie rod, but don't take my word for it. I know with RK tie rod you can use either, so that tells me the thread is the same.

I use the Rock Krawler HD Tie Rod.
Rock Krawler has a good video on YouTube of them beating it up pretty old and it just bends right back in to place.
It's thick aluminum so it has some give and rebound.
