Default Time to decided on a lift,

Got my unlimited this weekend. Needless to say it looks pathetic. Only good thing about the little tires on it is they are the same exact ones that are on my wife's liberty, saved some money there.

First chance I get it will be going up in the air with it, as soon as possible. Need some advise on lifts. The choices are limited, but would like some advise. I am wanting a 3", but would consider a 4" if there is no loss in ride.

My question is who are running black diamond 3" or super lift 4", what if any are the problems.

The teraflex 3" seems to fix some of the problems without more parts. Is this the case?

I am leaning toward the Full traction 3" Premium lift, but I do not rock crawl. Will this be an overkill. I do offroad, alot, but will be beach and sand.

Guess I can make this question easy, what 3" or 4" lift for the cheapest money will give me the best ride without any problems. I do not need disconnects, just a good quality lift.

Not at all. The extra parts that come in the Full Traction 3" Premium kit isn't necessarily designed specifically for rock crawling but rather to help you correct your suspension geometry after installing a lift. In fact, if you could afford it, I would also recommend adding a set of adjustable upper control arms to the kit even if you never go wheeling. All these parts will allow you to dial in your ride and provide you with the best handling on and off the pavement.

Well, best ride quality is subjective and in my opinion, when it comes to suspension systems, you get what you pay for more times than not. I personally would recommend Full Traction, Rubicon Express or TeraFlex.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe I read a 4" lift is pretty much going to require new driveshafts right? This is all new to me too but I'm learning a lot from jk-forum school.

You're right. I just read a post about a silver unlimited tearing his front driveshaft boot off....

I am curious about this too. I am looking for a lift to run 35s with a potential of 37s in the future. I am considering a 4" but is there a need to modify or change out drive shafts with a 4" but not with a 3"?

I decided to get the 3" Full Traction Premium. As of right now I am going to run 35s, but next set will be 37". Good chance once I get ready for the 37s I will do a spacer or BL 1-2".

You really should just start with the size that you want. Jeep bliss will not be reached until you are as high as you wanted to go in the first place.
