Time to LIFT!

2.5" lift kit with all the fixin's. Just had some general questions for you guys with the 4 speed AUTO. Is there anything I need to worry about when it comes to driveline, boots, seals or anything when looking at a lift of only 2.5"?

If anyone has any experience with this particular kit or thinks I should be looking in another direction, please feel free to jump in with your thoughts. Just looking for a decent kit that has all the adapters I need and is cost effective for a 2.5" kit. Found some others, but I know next to nothing about some of the names that are out there now. Looks like the market is flooded, which is good for $$$ but no hot for quality!
Northridge gave me a killer price on the Teraflex 2.5 BB with coils. I put it on yesterday and am very happy with the results. My girl is in getting her high-heels (35" BFG KM2's) right now. Going to run by the alignment shop before bringing her home!
Needless to say ... I'm geeked!
I would give Northridge 4X4 a call ...

I had thought that as well, but the stock one looks just as big as some of the Rough Country and OME ones.......one of the guys at National4wd looked underneath (had not looked at a 2010 JK yet) and was surprised to see it's not the smaller one he had been used to seeing.
Ya i had that upgraded one for a while too but i blew it out with the stock sahara wheels and tires and very very light wheeling...
i got a ORV one and the tie rod knuckle mount from quadratec and i am very happy with it, id say away from rough country... it rubbed on the tie rod and had to be constantly re-adjusted
I also got the Pro-comp 2.5 lift which has a redesigned rear trackbar mount... it is very beafy.

I am not familiar with that particular kit, so my first question would be: What is the 'actual' lift height you will get with those coils? Most coils give more than what is stated, and the higher you go, the more likely it becomes that you will want to add components to bring you back to that stock-like ride. So the best advice anyone can give you is to look past the cheap price tag on any lift and start comparing components!! See what is missing, then ask yourself if it is something you will want to add. And then take that combined price and compare it to the more complete kits out there...
Assuming those coils will give closer to 3" than 2.5", this one in the FAQ's is a good place to start for comparison purposes:
Q: What are all the components that I will need with a 3" lift?
Q: What is Caster? How much do I need?

And, depending on how familiar you are with components and handling and alignments, this is another good one to browse. That top pic is great!

2.5-3" is also where you want to start looking at the front driveshaft on auto's. See post #6 here for some preventative measures to make it last as long as possible:

Northridge has a shop in Canada. I'd guess that they might be your best bet on prices. And they are a sponsor here, so you can send private messages and ask questions and stuff right here on the site...
