Default Time needed to install a 3 " lift.

Now that my tires have arrived, I can't wait to install the lift and get the whole thing put together.

What do you guys think about getting the lift installed all in one day. 3" Teraflex with control arms. I'm thinking it should be doable, but with tomorrow being Sunday and work on Monday...

Souldnt be a problem getting it done in a day, having a helper will make things go smoother, have you done a lift before?

If it's your daily driver, I say this:

Something ALWAYS goes wrong. Either install it today (Saturday) or wait till next weekend. Good luck either way.

I have the exact same lift sitting on my workbench.

and apparently the same luck as bigbadmike.

Because Mr. Murphy has taken up permanent residence in my garage, when i go to do mine, i will be starting it on a friday, right after work (if i dont take a friday off to do it, in which case i will start on thursday night, ...unless i take a thursday off....)

Really, last time i did a lift, i blew out a brand new hyadraulic floor jack(it was faulty, not my faulty), and had to take a couple hours to go return/replace it before i could continue.
Stripped i think two bolts IIRC....

I prefer to leave myself time for errors, and if i dont have any, i have a full day or so to go test it out, instead of sitting at work dreaming about it all day.

H.C., if you don't have time to install that lift you can send it to me and I would be more than happy to install it on my JK and then send you pics. But I agree, leave plenty of time for the unplanned things to come up and be delt with.

Awesome!

I'll send you three teenage girls to carry it & keep an eye on it for the next ... 10 years? that should get them mostly through college and the majority of the dating drama.

I really appreciate the help!

Your address? AmTrack need to know what city to drop them off in & i need to get a cab to your place for them. I hope you keep some cash handy, i dont think the drivers take plastic.

Since its a 3" kit with control arms couldn't you do it in stages? Doing the springs and tracbars ect.. then go back another day and install the control arms. But yeah always expect some troubles something always comes up at the wrong time.
