Default Time for Rock Sliders

Well, I can say that the factory steps are only for stepping on! A small hit on a hill tore the bolts out of the middle bracket.

So, I want to get better protection. I have looked around a bit and like a couple. The ACE sliders seem to be popular here on the forum. They are in the run, but does anyone gave experience with the Poison Spider bolt on? I like the looks and they look beefy as heck, any comments?

I would prefer bolt on sliders, however, do they offer decent protection? Any input would be much appreciated, thanks!

The PSC Rocker Knockers are very nice but are also expensive. The LOD's are nice too, but are double the cost of the ACE sliders. If you are in need of a step and a rock rail, the ACE are a great choice, especially if you can get your hands on a set of take-off Rubi rails to use in conjunction with the ACE rails.

A vote for ACE here. Did the same thing you did and tore off the plastic Sahara running boards on a big rock. Upgraded to Ace and have been very happy.

I went with the PSC Rico Sliders and love the way they turned out. Pretty cost effective option.

I went with Body Armour 4x4 sliders. Tricky instal but happy with the final finish, cost and protection.

I'm going to go with LoD myself in the next couple days. Narrowed it down to PSC rocker knockers, LoD, or shrockworks. The EVO sliders look pretty nice and beefy too, but they have something against bolt on parts, as their sliders are weld on only. My theory is they want you to pay them for install too since a lot more people can turn a wrench than can weld...

Or maybe weld-on is stronger?

I have a Sahara my self and ripped a bracket on both sides of my JKU.

I found some take-off Rubi rails which I put on in about 45 minutes by myself. The reason I did this is because they specifically work with the Ace Rock Rails. That's my next upgrade.

That's a no-brainer so I didn't feel the need to even say that... But not to even offer a bolt on version makes it questionable. If they had two versions, then I might say they are doing it only for a stronger, more solid slider. But, since they ONLY offer a weld on, I think it could be just a money-grab. I even emailed them, saying I liked their products and were they considering a bolt on option. They gave me a very brief "screw off" response telling me they have no plans to make a bolt on.
