Yes paint the exterior of the top so it reflects the heat instead of soak it up. If you want to do a bed liner coating either do that first or use it on the sides and up to the point you have the reflective paint.

While tint will help it be cooler inside, you will still need to do the top with some form of insulation. I know cause I just tinted the windows, but the top is hot as hell

have decided...

... To coat the center panels with a high gloss black paint instead of a colormatch. Too FJ Cruiser for me. So a high gloss coat up on the inside perimeter.
