Default Tire balancing with Equal?

Has anyone had their tires balanced with a product called Equal? The local shop suggested I go with this option. Any suggestions on the best balancing option for 35x12.50.17's?

I don't think I would try that. What if a little bit of moisture got mixed with the equal? I would guess it would migrate to some spot and then stick, possibly in the "wrong" spot, making the imbalance worse, rather than better. I really don't know, but it would seem to be a bit of a gamble.....

Lol, I should have googled before speaking. Equal is a product by IMI for balancing tires. I will assume that it won't clump up in the wrong spots, but I haven't used anything like that so I will await the opinions of those more experienced .

We use a sand like product in are truck tires for balancing but were talking about Dump trucks/ Fire engines, etc. Not sure how good it will work in a smaller tire.

I wouldn't think you'd need them with your Toyo's. Internal balancing stuff is usually reserved for more aggressive tires, such as Swampers.

I was thinking about using this stuff or some beads in my 37's, but I just had thme balanced w/ regular lead weights, and they ride slick as glass.

I just talked to a guy in a 4x4 shop and he said that thye use Dynabeads, which is a similar product to Equal, but he didn't think I'd need it for Toyo's. He suggested stick-on lead weights on the inside of the rim. Does anyone use Dynabeads? Has anyone had issues with balancing Toyo Open Coutry M/T's?

Here is a thread about using wheel balancing agents like equal. Post #6 has a list of different experiences that yellowjeeper85 went through.
