Default Tire Carrier

I have a couple dilemmas that I'm hoping I can get help with here..

First off, I have a chance to give my father my 33's for his TJ and upgrade to 35's. I do mostly street driving with the occasional wheeling session. Will this work with my current 2.5" bb and spidertrax spacers?

Second, is the issue of that big of a tire on the carrier..

I already have a rear bumper but it doesn't have a carrier on it. It's a paramount restyling bumper(e-autogrilles). I don't have the coin to buy a new bumper and I'd rather not destroy the tailgate. What options do I have?

Thanks for the help in advance,

Chris

35s should work with your current set up. There may be some rubbing on the front air damn. You could go with a Teraflex hinged carrier.

I installed the MBRP reinforcing kit, but I put my spare in the back area when offroad. Hopefully, this will get me by until I can afford to get a TF tire carrier.

If you don't want to change your bumper out, save up the coin for an Or-Fab tire carrier. It's worth the money.

My 35 is on the stock tire carrier with a spacer and I don't like the idea of it. It was that way when I got it. I plan on removing it. When I hit bumps in the road the whole gate rattles and don't sound very stable

This is what I would be saving for. The Teraflex hinges are a great option.

I didn't carry a spare tire for two years because I didn't really like any spare tire mounting options that were out there... I liked the look of the poison spyder rear stinger but didn't like the idea of having to open two gates to get to my stuff... So I just didn't do anything and just rode with no tire and no mount for a while till I ran into the TeraFlex HD Hinged Tire Carrier... I couldn't have gotten a better product.. Super Strong and doesn't flex with a heavy 37" Nitto Mud Grappler... Also Its on the gate not a separate gate so its super functional... Nothing but good things to say...
