That's a very broad question because there are so many options depending on what you like or want.
In my case I chose the or-fab with the Jerry-can option because it allows for installing whatever rear bumper I want, keeps the Jerry-cans protected and low so the Jeep's center of gravity stays low. It also lets me mount several other accessories on it (lights, high-lift jack, antennas, etc). It's very solid and can take 35s easily.
Cons: finishing sucks. It started showing corrosion a couple months after installing and it wasn't even winter or raining yet.
The new poison spyder brawler rear bumper. The tire swing is integrated into the tail gate so you don't have to open the tire then open the gate. Just convenience. Oh and it looks nice and will take abuse.
if budget minded , get the rancho rear bumper and tire swing , very well made nice finish and looks awesome ! ive had mine for ancouple months now and couldnt be more satisfied . 500 from quadratec
One vote here for the AEV carrier. You can buy it stand-alone--you don't have to buy the rear bumper with it.
It's well-made, has a built-in post that extends way above the tire for a light, you can mount all kinds of stuff to it, it's super strong, does not rattle, and it swings in one motion with the tailgate. They did a really nice job with the integration and the hardware, good finish, and just feels rock-solid all around. Not bad looking IMHO, either.
The downside...it'll cost ya. I think the stand-alone version is like $800.
