Default tire compare 35vs37

i cant find a thread comparing the two, if you can please link it. but my problem is trying to decide between 35s and 5.13s OR 37s and 5.38s. how much fuel mileage is lost between the two, loss in performance...etc.

i have a 4 door auto rubicon and 4 inch LA kit sitting in the garage waiting for gears and tires.

Go 37's, 5.13's-5.38's not much difference there, toss up. Stick or Auto? If you go 35's you'll want 37's. I have 5.13's, auto and theres not much difference between 35's and 37's as far as gas milage. I only lost 1mpg when I went to 37's

I went through the same hard decision. Ended up last minute literally going with 37s (no gears yet on manual) and I am so glad I did. Tires will cost you significantly more every time they wear out.

i have ran 35s in the past, its the biggest i have had on any of my jeeps over the years. 37s just seem like a statement i need to make more than anything. this is my DD so gas consumption is a plus but at 12-14 mpg what the hell does it really matter. im planning to regear, 4" TF longarm, drivelines, and tires. all at once so i would like to build it complete and right the first time rather than complain later.

can you run 37's with a 3 inch lift and flat flares?

I'm planning on getting the 4" TF full F/A lift, but I also haven't decided on tire size. Will 37s with factory flares still provide decent flex, or do 35s provide a lot more flexing room? How much additional flex will flat flares provide?

Cool

Don't forget about your axle. I plan on going to 35's, no need for me to have 37's and I am sure my front D30 would appreciate it...

Rubicon Unlimited, 2008, 5.38 gears, automatic, extremelly happy. I dont have superchips or any other programmer and it shifts well. Have not tried four low yet or tried a long hilly trip yet.
