Default Tire Package

Can anyone share their experience with the company TirePackage ?

I'm working with them in the capacity as a customer. They seem a little slow. Is this ordinary and expectable?

I ordered tires from there last year. The tires I ordered were on backorder and took 2 months to get in. I realize that they have no control over the backorders, but their communication was horrible. They charged my card for the full amount and never told me the tires were on BO. I waited about 2 weeks before calling. Itthen took me about a week of calling multiply times a day to finally talk to someone there. The person I talked to was very helpful and did explain the backorder situation. Although I did get my tires when they became available, the week of not knowing if I got ripped off or not for a $1000 was very frustaring. I'm not sure if I would order from them again, the price would have to be very good! I absolutely hate when there is no communication about a product I ordered. That's just my 2 cents..

I ordered on July 17th.
I called to check on July 23rd as I had heard nothing and no tracking #.
I was told that the order was just about to go onto the truck (leaving me to believe that it would be out the door that morning)
Later on the 23rd, I saw my order status change, a line was added that mounting and balancing was being done.
Even later that afternoon, another line was added that valve stems have been processed.

I've tried to call them today as I still have no tracking number, but got "sorry call back during buisness hours" even though I did call during their buisness hours.

I'm trying to be patient, but my frustration is mounting, mostly because their website touts 2-3 day shipping.

grrrrr.

I almost ordered from them. They have great prices and the website was very user friendly and informative. Once I started doing research on the company I found a mix of satifaction some good but some really bad. I ckeck several websites, one being RipOffReport.com. It wasn't worth the money for the uncertainty and sometimes poor customer service. I went with National Tire and they were awesome. Communication was par excellent with NT. Got the mounted tires and wheels in a week. 'Google' TirePackage you'll find some bad experiences with them.

oZmonkey,

Almost sounds like my experience with them, except it just said "in process" on the website. I did also send multiple emails with no response. I am usaully a very patient person and I know how busy businesses can get, but 5 days of constant calling and just getting sent right to voice mail was almost too much for me. If I didnt get in touch that Friday, I was disputing the charges with my card on Monday.

Lately, for bigger purchases, I have been placing my orders over the phone. At least that way I know its possible to actually talk to a real person if I need too! Good Luck!

Default oh, the drama

BlackJett: I googled and now I feel a little sick. I hope I get my stuff as it seems some folks have.

Bly: Did your order ever show up?

I called today, and was told my package shipped from Florida this morning, but they could not provide a tracking number for me.

oZmonKey,

Yes, I did eventually get my order. The tires were backordered. I know that wasn't their fault. My problem with them was the total lack of communication after I placed my order and the fact that they charged my card immediately and I didn't get the tires for over 2 months. All I wanted was an email or a phone call saying "sorry your tires are backordered, it may be awhile".

Good Luck!

Brian

Hey Oz,
Hang in there. You are probablly ok. It's just frustrating and I hate when that happens. If its anything, the TirePackage has been around several years. They actually are part of another company. I like to think if they were totally ripping off people they wouldn't last long.
I have a feeling you'll get your stuff. Good luck.

Default Gottem!

I took posession of 5 rims and 5 tires and 5 center caps this afternoon, the
2nd of Aug. Only 17 days after ordering.

I guess that's better than 2 months, and not THAT long if it had been communicated to me in the first place. "2 to 3 days" as per the website is misleading.

The only other problem was I had specified in a form to mount the wheels white lettering out. They arrived white lettering in. I planned to black them out anyway, so it's not a big deal.. but why create a form with options such as that on it, if they are going to be ignored.

I'll be mounting the wheels on my Jeep probably this weekend when I have more time, and will post pictures in a new thread.

This will likely be my last post bitching about tirepackage (unless I find out the bolt pattern is wrong or something heinous like that)
