Default Tire Question....

So I need some new shoes on the JK. Definitely want a MT. Those Bridgestones that come with the Sahara's are terrible. I want to go with a 33 inch tire but actually want to get one that's 33 inches tall, not 32.8 or whatever. I wouldn't mind going with a smaller 35 that measures around 33.5 or so. I know there's a few out there I just can't find one. Any thoughts or opinions guys? Oh yeah, I have an RC 2.5 inch lift, 4.10s and an auto. Thanks for the help.

Firestone Destination M/T's are sweet, I had them on my past two Wranglers and loved them.. I would suggest getting the 285's if your running 16's.

I can send you a friends and family card you can use towards your purchase if you want to send me a self addressed stamped envelope. pm me if you want.

I wanted the Destination M/T's, but was told that the 285/75r16's only come in load range E now, no more D's. E's are too heavy for me.

Then I found Cooper STT's, and love them. Agressive M/T tread and they are sipped for much better winter/wet traction. And they are slightly cheaper I believe. You could go 285/75r16 which is a load D and measures 33.1 per Cooper, or you could do 33x12.5 r15 which is load range C or 33x12.5 r17 which is load range D, both measure a tad under 33 per cooper. PM me for where to buy them locally in IL.

I'm running with Goodyear Duratracs. They look good and they're not loud at all.
Also, heard people checking out the new'er General Grabbers.

Check out the tires in the 295/70/17 size, like the Toyo Open Country MT's. (well...only if you've got a 17 inch rim)

I have had three sets of KM2's, I love them! Really quiet on the highway and work very well off road.

when i got new tires i went with BFG A/Tmainly for the mileage. I researched the kevlars, it all depends on how you drive. Some people told me 40,000 others said they were getting 60,000 out of them.

Dang! 40-60,000 out of a MT is good enough for me. Buying new tires is just as hard as deciding what Jeep you want to go with, you're stuck with them for a long time!
