Default Tire question..

Happy holidays!

Am looking into replacing my stock goodyears(255/t5/17) for Duratracs or Nitto Trail Grappler's. My normal driving is road and living in the east coast area we have snow and rain to deal with. Any suggestions?

thanks,

255/75/17 Trail Grapplers
Love these things....my rig is my daily driver. Tires do great in snow and anything else you can throw at them.

I like the duratracs (just about always run Goodyear pruducts) but i dont know how they handle in the snow but if I were to guess they would do very well in it, but i do know their Silent Armors run very nice in the snow. This will be my second winter on them

I think I'm the only person on the Jeep forums to have had a problem with Duratracs... I put them on my 2010 Sahara Unlimited because I loved how they look and I read nothing but great things about their performance. That said, I had continued balancing issues with them. Even after repeated attempts, and replacement of one of the tires, DT could never completely eliminate steering wheel shuddering at certain highway speeds. I became frustrated and finally gave up and they replaced them with Michelin LTX AT2s (my Jeep is on pavement 99% of the time, forest service roads for camping, etc., the rest) and haven't had any problems since.

FWIW, the Duratracs did perform very well in Minnesota snow while I had them.

Trail grapplers. Look great. Tread holds up (have over 20,000miles on mine and they still look mean). Side walls are damn near invincible.

I would go with the trail grapplers. They are great on and off road. They look killer and are quiet. I love mine

My vote is for the trail grapplers. My 37s are quiet on road, and they just look badass!!!
