Default Tire question

One of the tires I'm thinking about getting are the hankook mt in 295/75/16. Would I be able to run this size without regearing without losing a lot of power/mpg? Does anyone know if these tires are heavy?

Amazon lists the shipping weight at 65.4 lbs. Don't know how reliable that is though.

Well from your profile iI can only see you have a 2012. Your asking about 16s so maybe you have a sport or your getting new wheels? Yes the tires are heavier than what you got. If your getting new aluminum wheels it will about balance out. Don't know your gears or if you have a manual/auto but you may notice a difference in power. Your milage may go up if most your miles are on highway may go down if most of your miles in town.

I'm sure you'd be fine. I run 295/70/17's, live in the foothill sierras of Northern CA, lots of hills. Tiny bit sluggish, but I can still roll 75 on the freeway no problem. Only time you'll really notice the size change, is leaving stops.

Doubt you'll notice anything on the streets.
