Question Tire questions

I have a '08 X 2 door with a 2.5" RC BB and the stock tires and from everything i have read on here going with the 285/75/17 will not work without spacers albeit the RC instructions say that is what it was designed for. I was wondering if anyone had just went a plus 1 on their tires? say from 255/75/17 to 265/70/17? Right now i am saving for my wedding so tires and wheels is out of the question right now ,and to tell ya the truth the stock 17's have grown on me with the lift call me crazy but i like the look. I am just interested in a tire that has better traction then the SRA'S and i don't wanna get into using wheel spacers just for an inch or two, and because i don't trust them at all and, no one around me will pass them during inspection.

Go with the spacer's and go bigger tires....you will be cursing only going one size up. Get the 33's in either a 11.5 to 12.5 inch wide mud tire or you regretting for a few years till the tires wear out.

265/70/17 are 1/2'' smaller than 255/75/17
275/70/17 are just wider same height
285/70/17 are the plus one
a few members report that 285 do not rub
255/75/17 bfg kms are only $100 ea.(same as Rubicon)

I am curious on the 285's the paper work on my lift states they will work with the factory wheels and B/S. I can't seem to find a definitive thread with this particular situation when searching the site as to wheather they will rub or not ,and about 90% of my driving anymore is on the road with work and all.
