Default Tire Questions! c:

I'm looking at putting a RK 2.5" 'flex' lift on my 2016 JKU. I initially planned on getting MT ATZ P3's but got talked down because it may be too much tire for my daily driver/weekend warrior necessities. Hoping to put 35" tires and bouncing between Duratracs, KO2's or Toyo AT2's. Asking for any recommendations and/or good places/websites to get tires cheaper than market price!

I'll be in Norfolk, VA.

Check tread depot, discount tire, tire rack, Sears, Sams club, Costco, Walmart, etc. Sometimes shops will also run rebates. Just check online.

best price on KO2 is a two part process. 4wd.com with forum discount is lowest I have seen but then DTD will beat that price. I got 4 KO2 in 34x105.17 for $1000. I just ordered the spare for it via 4wd.com and it was $257.44 DTD would have went $250 but I needed it fast.
I mount my own tires so for me it was a no brainer. I will say the KO2 were the easiest tires I have mounted for a while. I also run Toyo AT2's and they took a lot more muscle to mount with just tire irons. The KO2's almost fell on the rim with only 2 irons needed to spoon on. they also set both beads at about 10psi.

Goodyear Duratracs are great DD and quite compared to the stock BFG mud tires. JKU has the AEV 2.5" DualSport XT Suspension. I purchased 5 - Goodyear Duratrac 315/70/R17 during the July 4th Holiday Sale at Discount Tire and they were $290.00 each minus $200.00 in rebates and each tire worked out to be $250.00 plus tax and mounting.

Just put 315/70/17 Duratracs on Monday and love the ride. Will be installing an RK 2.5 Flex this weekend. Not sure I need 2.5" as stock lift with PSC crusher flares provide adequate room for DD. However, I plan in more rock crawling in Northern NM & CO this next year.

Ill keep you posted after the lift.

Just a quick update. The Rock Krawler Flex with Fox shocks went on just as planned. Thanks to my little bro (Britt) and his girlfriend (Kim). So far the ride is a bit stiffer, but was expected. Overall, the review of this kit is a 9 out of 10.

The Rock Krawler parts are truly bomb proof and excellent quality. Thanks Northridge for emptying my pockets again. The only flaw I have is with the instructions that could be improved by video or more detail. Nothing is simple, and a youtube video of how to overcome or deal with
Install issues would be helpful and PROMOTE YOUR COMPANY!

Great kit Rock Krawler & AWSOME DEALS AT NORTHRIDGE.

I've got 50k miles on a set of MT ATZ p3's in 37", and it's just right for my daily driver/weekend warrior setup. Very well-mannered highway tires that still do well in rocks, ice, etc. They aren't the least expensive, but I've gotten my money's worth out of them.
