I live in snow country and my duratracs have not failed me. I never had to use 4x4 (ESP off). Best snow running all around tire I ever ran. Hands down.

I love my BFG KOs. They are wearing awesome and were great in the snow. I think I only had to put it in 4wd once this last winter in town after a huge snow dump.

Thanks for all the great info. Im leaning towards the duratracs but will definitely look into the Treadrights as well. Im wondering how do these two compare on wet roads as well as trails compared to something like the BFG AT/KO?

Ha, ya I even reused the same pics! Search bar is a thing of the past! Either way, I always try to help a JK forum guy when I can.

Whatever you choose I personally wouldn't get an "E" rated tire of which I believe the Duratrac's are in that size. It's a 10ply tire which will have a stiff sidewall for a JK. I went with a "D" rated 8 ply Discoverer STT in 305/70/16 and my JK is a daily driver which see's sand dunes and the occasional ice/snow. I like my tires alot compared to others I had in the past. My previous tires were the old BFG Mud Terrains and the old MTR's that I had siped. My next set of tires I am thinking will be "D" rated 285/75/16 which are slightly narrower, a bit taller, and lighter...

Good luck,
p

I got a set of mud tires, from craigslist so I could not choose D or E, I ended up getting the tires. They are e rated and 10 ply. I was concerned about them being to stiff.... Coming from the stock tires. They were stiff when the tire shop aired them to 42psi! I aired them down to 30 PSI and I'm very happy. I can't notice any difference. Get what ever you can get a deal on. Good luck.

Get the Toyo Open Country M/T's in 285/75/17. I used 33.25" in the Procal programmer and the speed came out right (as per GPS). These are load rated E and will outlast a lesser tire.
