Default Tire regrets

Anyone running 265/70/17 wishing they went 285/75/17? I'm having to base my selection on budget. I was looking at both sizes in Duratracs and Fierce Attitude M/T. More than likely just going get a Tera Flex leveling kit to start out with.

Yep, 265's here and I wish I went bigger. I'll sell them sooner or later and go with 33's/ 34's.

Wait and save up some more to get the 285's! Yes, you will wish you had if you don't.

I went 245/75-16 then 265/75-16 then 285/75-16 and now wish I had 35". Do not waste your money on 265's as they look fine for about a day and then look small after that.

Yup don't waste your money on 265's plus the jeep looks better with a wider tire and stance

The crazy part is that tires aren't even all that much more expensive once you pick a size. $700 for 31's and $1000 for 35's but I bought 31" km2's not too long ago for close to $800......coulda bought some damn 33's for that price.

Worst part- tires rarely measure up, so the tires will be short any way you cut the cake.

We bought 255/80/17s two years ago. I didn't "regret" not getting 285/75/17, but simply look forward to this week when We finally got them. Did things to the JK to get ready for this moment, and it was worth the wait. It is a great tire size for Us and We even kept them mounted on the stock +44 offset/6.25 BS wheels without those absurd wheel spacers. So very thankful to have a great (driving) vehicle.

No regrets on mine..still love em. Having said that, I'll be going a little bigger next time..lol AND I think the 4drs need at least another tire size to look as "good" as the 2drs.
