Default Tire selection

I currently have the awful SRA tires on my JK 2-door. I want to upgrade to either an aggressive A/T or a MT that will be ok for a decent amount of daily driving. I also live in CT and winters are usually a mess of snow/ice/rain and i have heard an A/T would perform better in those conditions.

Any reviews on the BF A/T or anything a little more aggressive for my situation?

BFG A/T KO's are a great tire, I have owned the Firestone Destination A/T and the Bridgestone Dueler Revo A/T, both of them work great on the street and fair to good off road.

The BFG M/T's that came on my JK Rubicon are a great tire. Very little road noise, decent price, great rain traction, always been good for me in the snow, and always good on the trail/in the mud. There is a reason this tire was called "the staple of M/T tires" by Off Roading magazine. I'm in MI and am a mud junkie so I can vouch for those claims. Check them out.

I've run BFG AT's, ProComp AT's (not xtremes) and now Nitto Terra Grappler AT's. Similar performance on dry roads or trails, but for rain/snow/ice, I like the Nitto's better.

If I were buying another AT soon, the DuraTracs would be on my short list. The only downside may be the cost. (about $30 more per tire than the nitto's in the sizes I am looking at.)

You might also look at the Dunlop M/T Maxx Traction. MT tire that falls more into the aggressive AT category. Still waiting to see more reviews on it...

I also live in CT and winters are usually a mess of snow/ice/rain and i have heard an A/T would perform better in those conditions.
Look for tighter lugs and lots of siping if you do go with a M/T. Goodyear mtr/kevlar, maybe?
