Default tire shipping

anyone have any clue how to do something like shipping for a large (37x12.5) offroad tire? I expect it to be pricey, but trying to use freight tools, I'm looking at numbers in the thousands. Any advice would be awesome!

Mostly goes by weight. I was looking into shipping some wheels and I was getting prices equal to weight. 50lbs cost about $50 to ship. Probably going to be at least $400-$500 to ship 5 37" tires.

Order from TireRack.com and ship to a commercial address...a dealership, shop, store, any commercial address where a semi can pull up and kick them off (no dock needed). TireRack will ship them freight. Saved me close to $400 over using UPS. 5 38" tires shipped for around $300.

tirerack.com is cheap, but shipping to a commercial address would have only saved me $2 a tire. I had 5 35's shipped for $150 from them. They ended up coming UPS. The driver just backed into my driveway and he rolled them out at me.

I went through discount tire direct for my 37's, they shipped for free. UPS ground. No problem.

X2 discount tire direct! Works out to be the best prices with free shipping! Just do the math especially to Canada it's dirt cheap compared to local or tire rack!

Default UShip

I recommend you check out UShip on the web. I sent 5 tires from Jaksonville, FL to Corpus Christi, TX, and $147.95 was the cost. Potental shippers will compete with bids, and you select the best.
