Default Tire size change in tuners

Hey all, Im wondering what does the tire size change do in tuners like superchips, bullydog, diablo etc...
does it increase power and torque or just to re-calibrate the speedometer? or does something else?
thanks in advance!

When these tuners are only changing tire size they are only changing a calculation. Your jeep is keeping track of the number or rotations of the tire. It uses this combined with the diameter of the tire to calculate how far and fast it is going. Tuners like the superchips flashcal and and aev procal only change this and do not tune the engine.
That said tuners like the superchips flashpaq and diablosport will both tune the engine and will also change thinks like the tire size.

Programmers will let you plug in the new tire height and/or gear ratio. Tuners will do the same, but also have the added ability to let you install different tunes for a small performance boost, change shift points, etc. They all have other abilities/features in addition, so browse their websites for the details.

Bigger tires throw off your speedometer, odometer, tachometer and the MPG reading. The tuners let you correct that among with other things like said above: tunes, gear settings, TPMS settings, etc.
