Yes...I too will probably only do light to moderate wheelin' so the 33's should be fine for me.
The other main concern I had was being that it is the dd, and that I do live in Alaska, I really had to have something that was going to be great on the ice. The Revos are supposed to be real good.
Lastly...the farther we get away from stock, as in the weight of the tires, the less mpgs we are going to get. Again, another thing to think about as a dd.

Suck it up and go with the 35's. I have 3:73, 6spd on 35's. LOVIN IT!

I am fighting the same demon. "GET THE 35's" he says.

I only have a 30 mi. round trip so I am leaning toward the dark side.
How 'bout splittin the difference, Nitto TG's and Goodyear MT have a 34's (305/70-17) 33.98"

ok I had 33s but they looked small so 2 months later I had 35s and love them.....

With a manual transmission and 35s you'll be fine without re-gearing. Automatic, and I would say run with the 33s.

As a daily driver I never ran through all the gears anyway and never rolled out in first gear. Now with 35s and the same gear set I actually use first gear a bit, still use sixth on the highway flats and get 23.5mpg at 70 mph (GPS Calibrated).

Someone also suggested 34s (305/70R17) which isn't a bad compromise. There are also some 34s from Toyo Tires, their 285/75R17 Open Country M/Ts. There about 3/4" more narrow with the same tire height. Solid tire, great reputation and good off-road capabilities. Best of all is they are the quietest of the M/T tires (important for me as I can't take the drone of most on the highway), will work within the recommended rim width of stock wheels and keep unwanted sidewall sway to a minimum at highway speeds.

the biggest advantage imo is the extra inch of ground clearance. I have Cooper stt 33's & love them, but I know i am going to 35's someday, they are an intermediate step for me.

If i had the $, i would have had 35's to start, but i started with a lower lift, hence smaller tires. No regrets, it's just the way my fiances are at the moment.

Very happy I went with 35's from the start. I know I would have re-sold 33's by now if I had bought them and taken a loss. I have 4.10's but I'm going to re-gear to 4.88's some time next year.
