Default Tire size options

I was wondering what is the largest tire size that can be installed on a standard rim with out a lift. Currently running 245/75R

There are two stickies at the top of the Modified forum section -

https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/modi...bie-has-18617/

https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/modi...-lifts-288269/

They are good reading. Your answer is in there.

37x12.50's are the biggest I've seen with no lift

If you don't want to take a chance on trimming or adding washers to the steer stops or adding wheel spacers, stick with the 32x10's (whatever the equivelent size is) from a rubicon/sahara.

When you start going taller and/or wider, more variables come into play. You will get people saying 'I run xxx size with no rubbing!', but you have to remember that all builds are different, jeeps might sit at different heights, axles might not be perfectly centered, measured tire height and width can vary quite a bit between mfg's, etc, etc, etc.

LOL, I'm sure it didn't have great articulation. It's all relative.

I'd be mindful of anything taller than stock with out adding bump stops, that is if you value your fenders. You could add flat fenders and wheel spacers and clear a good sized tire, again, with proper bump stops. Someone mentioned earlier, it's all relative. That couldn't be more true. It depends on what you're trying to accomplish.

Oh, it does indeed rub. Checkout autoedit on YouTube. He put 37's on before he lifted it.

Just put on 275/70R17 KO2 on my JKUR. Don't know how these will fit with your current stock height. They were just a little wider and just a little taller than my stock rubicon 255/75R17s. I wouldn't go much bigger if you don't plan on lifting. Check out this link to see size comparisons: Tire Size Comparison Link

No rubbing issues on hardball. I haven't been to the trails with them yet.
