Default Tire size and selection

I have a stock 07' jk right now. I'm looking to put bigger tires on it. I will be lifting it in the near future, just not at this time. I was told I can fit 33"s on the stock suspension. Is this correct? Plus how wide of a tire could I go? Also, does anyone have any tires they recommend? A majority of the driving will be on pavement. I wanted something aggressive looking, but quiet enough for daily communting.

You could probably run a 285/70R17 (33x11.50). Mickey Thompson makes an all-terrain in this size.

I had 33's on a stock 2d that i had and it rode fine before i lifted it.

I also for a brief time put 35's on my 4d Jk before the lift and on normal pavement it drove fine... but I only drove it for mabye 3 days like that..

I love my BFG KM2 tires! best I've used so far in my opinion..

yes, you can fit 33's but, being that most come in a 12.50 width, you'll want to get new wheels with less backspacing or install a set of wheel spacers if you want to keep your factory wheels. as far as what type of tire to go with, are you looking at a mud terrain or all terrain? either can be a great tire for daily commuting.

I just put on 285/75/16 Goodyear Duratrac's. No rubbing and the tires are very quiet on the road.
